What doc2epub does
doc2epub (also reachable at doc2typeset.com) converts a Word manuscript into an EPUB ebook file and a print-ready interior PDF. It is a formatting tool. It does not publish your book, submit it anywhere, register copyright, or issue an ISBN — what you do with the files it produces is entirely up to you.
Your manuscript stays yours
You keep every right you already had in your manuscript and in the files doc2epub generates from it. We claim no ownership, no licence to publish, and no share of your sales. We use your manuscript for two purposes only: producing the files you asked for, and — when a conversion goes wrong — diagnosing and improving how doc2epub turns manuscripts into EPUB and PDF files. We never use your manuscript to train AI or machine-learning models.
You are responsible for having the right to use what you upload. Don’t upload material you don’t hold the rights to, and don’t use doc2epub to produce content that is unlawful.
Accounts
You can convert a book without an account. An account is required to download books over the free page limit, keeps your books stored until you delete them, and lets you reach them from more than one browser. Keep your password to yourself — you are responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete any individual book from Your books in the account menu, or delete your account and everything attached to it at any time.
Subscriptions
Pro is a recurring subscription, billed monthly or annually through Stripe until you cancel. Prices are shown before checkout. Cancel any time from Manage subscription; you keep Pro until the end of the period you’ve already paid for. See the Refund & Cancellation Policy for how refunds work.
How long we keep your files
If you are signed out, uploaded manuscripts and generated files are deleted automatically after 1 day of inactivity — an anonymous session is a working space, not storage, so download your finished files promptly.
A book attached to your account is stored until you delete it, so you can come back any time and pick up where you left off — your chapters, edits and settings included. We keep it for that reason, and to diagnose and improve the conversion itself; never to train AI models. Deleting a book from Your books (or deleting your account) removes it permanently and immediately — we keep no copy and cannot recover it, so keep your own copy of your manuscript.
Fair use of the service
Uploads, conversions and AI chapter detection are rate-limited per user to keep the service available for everyone. Don’t attempt to bypass those limits, disrupt the service, or access books that aren’t yours.
No warranty, and what we’re liable for
doc2epub is provided as-is. We work hard to make the output correct, but we can’t guarantee that a given file will be accepted by Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, Apple Books or any other retailer — their requirements are theirs to set and can change. Always review the generated files before you publish them.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim relating to doc2epub is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Ending things
You can stop using doc2epub and delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend an account that is being used unlawfully or to abuse the service, and will tell you why where we can.
Changes
If these terms change materially we’ll update the effective date above and, for account holders, say so on the site. Continuing to use doc2epub after a change means you accept it.
